Obi visited Atiku in his Asokoro, Abuja residence around 3pm on Friday, after which they went into a closed-door meeting, fuelling speculations that the Waziri of Adamawa could announce him as his running mate anytime from now. 360nobs.com Oct 12, 2018 5:26 PM 2019: Atiku Finally Announces His Running Mate  The presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has announce his running mate for the 2019 general election. It was gathered that a former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has been picked as the running mate of the former VP in the February 14, 2019 election. Obi emerged the preferred choice of both the party and the candidate after series of consultations by stakeholders in the party and outside it. It was also learnt that the name of Obi and that of Atiku will be sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) next week. Bear in mind that INEC deadline for the submission of names of parties’candidate expires on Monday, 15 October. Report a problem
